que sera, sera

Pardon me if I get emotional..
         but this song reminds me so much of my Nona, and it is so bittersweet. It is such a life motto, and really is the best advice she ever gave sang to me...

"Katadina Katadina my little ballerina, whatever will be will be..life is beautiful sometimes, and life is tough sometimes.. but the courageous shall survive... love you baby."
                                                                               --- voicemail left by my Nona on March 30, 2006...

I miss her more and more every day. xo.xo.

feeling the pain of midterms

as we head into midterms week this is all I will be sporting with my UCSD  only friend bff Jo, the infamous "bam bam" hairdo.

DIY diva

I found perfect nude lace tights a few months ago and decided to switch them up a little by wearing plain black tights underneath to really make the lace pattern pop. Apparently it was a hit because I had 3 comments of awe concerning them (one was a guy at costco and another was my coffee cart guy..yes both males).

mafiosa

I felt like a mix between my dad and Chuck Bass last night while I rocked dark wash jeans, a white oxford, white Italian leather loafers, and to top it off a wide gold pinky ring. I also sipped red wine with other Italians and was so very tempted to smoke a fat stogie.

{"That's Amore" -- Dean Martin}

17 April 2010

you know that one song....

....that comes on and you are instantly transported to the times and places you were and the people you were with? WELL that happened to me today when I heard "Another Night" by the Real McCoy it brought me back to the cab seat of my dad's Ford Ranger as we rocked out while rolling through the car wash.  I loved this CD so much, and knew all the words and would even make up dances to it.
               (side bar: I once choreographed a dance to "You're the One that I Want" from Grease and performed it in front of my 2nd grade class with a boombox in the front of the room. I guess being in dance ages 3 to 16 was cool.)

Anyways, another song besides the aforementioned RMc was Meatloaf's "I Would Do Anything For Love." One could say I was a cultured kid.

{Another Night.. uhhh huuuuuu}
